Clive Scherer is the Owner of SDK Expeditions and has over 25 years experience teaching watersports across the world.
Working for top resorts and skippering boats across the globe running his own kite/surf and dive centres. Clive has a wealth of experience, local knowledge and a bunch of great travel stories to make any trip very special.
Specializing in designing Expeditions for high profile guests and leading these expeditions From Africa to Seychelles, Maldives, Brazil, Peru, Europe, Indo, Mentawai’s, Costa Rica, Fiji, Caribbean and many more.

Grant ” Twiggy” Baker is an icon and hero to many. A True waterman in all senses. He is 3 x WSL surf big wave world champion and placed 2nd in the world Kiteboard tour in 2005.
An incredible surfer, SUP surfer, kiter, wing-foil and surf foil specialist. Grant is one of the very best in all he does in the water. He is available to be a guest speaker, in water coach, skills coach and also brings some very special knowledge on remote locations and logistics. A true remote area specialist.
A humble and really genuine guy, “Twiggy” is someone you will never forget meeting. He would impress any guest whether surfer or non-surfer with his great death defying world champion big wave stories.
He will host various workshops for the guests on various water and life skills- breath-hold techniques, fear management and what helps him push and overcome his fears, fitness training, wave reading and oceanography lessons.

Pile is an exceptional talent on any board whether surf, kite, foil or wing. His achievements speak of his level of riding. As a coach and instructor Pile is one of the best. His technique and dedication to the student is like his riding- first class.
Pile has over 20 years experience travelling to some of the best locations for wind and waves and knows all the secret spots. Especially towards Europe, Brazil, South America and Cape Town. He has extensive local knowledge and is also one of the coolest and fun people you will ever meet.
A beter safety waterman and surf guide you will not find. Ohye from Indonesia has trained the Olympic kitesurf and kite-foil team. He is also the water safety trainer for many Indonesian 5 star resorts. An expert surfer, spearfisherman, kite surfer, foiler and one of the best jetski safety drivers in surf anywhere in the world. Ohye will blow you away with his ocean knowledge and is constantly working to make sure the stoke and mission is always exceeding guests expectations.
Travis Holthauzen is an incredible surfer, kitesurf and lifelong ocean man. He has been part of the Survivor reality TV show watersports safety team for over 15 years. His attention to every detail in water safety and redundancy on everything he does will make you feel safe to push your personal limits. Travis has some great stories and a host of skills on the water you would want on any expedition. A real South African with a big heart and extremally knowledgeable on the ocean and ocean safety.
Donna Scherer is part women part fish and one of the top girl SUP riders out there. A PADI master Scuba dive instructor for 17 years with over 3000 dives, she has many fishy stories to tell. Also a professional photographer. Her work has featured in several magazines. She rips on a SUP surfboard, and is an ISA SUP and surf instructor for over 10 years. Very experienced in all things liquid. Her passion is to help people be the best they can be, overcome their fears and enjoy the ocean.
